The Three Little Pigs / Los Tres Cerditos
Once upon a time, three little pigs lived together.
Había una vez tres cerditos que vivían juntos.
They were brothers and very sweet.
Eran hermanos y muy dulces.
One day they decided to build their own homes.
Un día decidieron construir sus propias casas.
The first little pig loved to relax.
El primer cerdito amaba relajarse.
He built a house of straw in ten minutes.
Construyó una casa de paja en diez minutos.
“Perfect! Now I can nap forever!” he said.
“Perfecto. Ahora puedo dormir para siempre.” dijo.
The second little pig liked to snack.
El segundo cerdito adoraba merendar.
He built a house of sticks.
Construyó una casa de palos.
He finished quickly and ate cookies on the roof.
Terminó rápido y comió galletas en el techo.
The third little pig was careful and smart.
El tercer cerdito era cuidadoso y listo.
He built a strong brick house.
Construyó una casa fuerte de ladrillos.
It took all day, but he whistled happily.

Soon the Big Bad Wolf arrived in the forest.

“No way! Go away!” the pig answered.

The wolf puffed up his cheeks.
El lobo infló sus mejillas.
He huffed and he puffed…
Sopló y resopló…
And he blew the straw house down!
¡Y derribó la casa de paja!
The first pig squealed and ran to his brother.
El primer cerdito chilló y corrió hacia su hermano.
They hid in the stick house together.
Se escondieron juntos en la casa de palos.
The wolf stomped to the door.
El lobo pisoteó hasta la puerta.
“Little pigs, little pigs, let me in!”
“Cerditos, cerditos, déjenme entrar.”
“Nooo! Go away!” they shouted.
“¡Nooo! ¡Vete!” gritaron.
The wolf huffed and puffed again.
El lobo sopló y resopló otra vez.
The stick house wobbled…
La casa de palos tembló…
And it fell down with a clatter!
¡Y se cayó con un gran estruendo!
Both pigs squealed and sprinted to their brother’s brick house.
Ambos cerditos chillaron y corrieron a la casa de ladrillos de su hermano.
The wolf followed, panting.
El lobo los siguió, jadeando.
He knocked loudly.
Golpeó fuerte.
“Little pigs, little pigs, let me in!”
“Cerditos, cerditos, déjenme entrar.”
“Nope!” said the third pig.
“No.” dijo el tercer cerdito.
“This house is strong. You can’t blow it down.”
“Esta casa es fuerte. No puedes derribarla.”
The wolf huffed and puffed.
El lobo sopló y resopló.
He puffed and huffed.
Resopló y sopló.
He blew until he got dizzy.
Sopló hasta marearse.
But the brick house didn’t move at all.
Pero la casa de ladrillos no se movió ni un poquito.
“Grrr! I will climb the roof!” he said.
“¡Grrr! ¡Subiré al techo!” dijo.
The wolf climbed up, slowly and grumpily.
El lobo subió, lento y gruñón.
The pigs heard him above them.
Los cerditos lo escucharon arriba.
The third pig had a clever idea.
El tercer cerdito tuvo una idea genial.
He placed a big pot of boiling soup under the chimney.
Colocó una gran olla de sopa hirviendo bajo la chimenea.
The wolf slid down the chimney…
El lobo se deslizó por la chimenea…
“SPLASH!” He fell right into the soup.
“¡CHAP!” Cayó directo en la sopa.
“YOW! HOT! HOT!” the wolf cried.
“¡AY! ¡QUEMA! ¡QUEMA!” gritó el lobo.
He jumped out and ran into the forest, yelping.
Saltó y corrió al bosque lloriqueando.
The three pigs danced around the room.
Los tres cerditos bailaron por la habitación.
“We did it!” they cheered.
“¡Lo logramos!” celebraron.
That night they ate warm soup and cookies together.
Esa noche comieron sopa caliente y galletas juntos.
And the wolf never bothered them again.
Y el lobo nunca volvió a molestarlos.
