Snow White / Blancanieves
Snow White was a girl with skin white as snow.
Blancanieves era una niña con la piel blanca como la nieve.
Her hair was black as night.
Su cabello era negro como la noche.
And her lips were red as a rose.
Y sus labios eran rojos como una rosa.
She lived with her stepmother, the Queen.
Vivía con su madrastra, la Reina.
The Queen had a magic mirror.
La Reina tenía un espejo mágico.
Every day she asked, “Mirror, who is the prettiest of all?”
Cada día preguntaba: “Espejo, ¿quién es la más hermosa de todas?”
One morning, the mirror answered, “Snow White is the prettiest.”
Una mañana el espejo respondió: “Blancanieves es la más hermosa.”
The Queen got angry and jealous.
La Reina se enojó y sintió celos.
She sent a hunter to kill Snow White.
Envió a un cazador para matar a Blancanieves.
But he felt sorry for her and warned her about the queen’s evil intentions.

Snow White ran into the deep forest to escape.

She walked until she found a tiny house.

Inside, everything was small and cute.

Seven little beds stood in a row.

She disguised herself as an old woman.

She knocked on the dwarves’ door.

Snow White took a bite.

She fell to the floor and didn’t move.

The Queen ran away laughing.

When the dwarves came home, they cried.

They placed Snow White in a crystal coffin.

One day, a prince passed by.

He saw Snow White and felt great sorrow.
